My mum gifted me my first ever Dior beauty product for my birthday in my early teens, some year around 2010. Since it was a recent lauch at the time, the only shade available for purchase was the initial 001 Pink. The cover came in a shiny translucent pink packaging with 'LIP GLOW Color Reviver Balm' imprinted on it in white-silver. My mumma told me how she used to use a similar lacquer stick cum balm in her teens and she believes that I will love the Lip Glow lacquer stick.
She was and still stands right! It's been over a decade and I am a devoted customer for the product till date. Dior Lip Glow is a part of my daily lip care regime and a must use as a primer for lips every time I apply makeup. It is a cosmetic that I always carry and use along with the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer.
Lip Glow balm has significantly helped in neutralizing the color of my uneven colored lips even though it does not claim so. It instantly induces a refreshing, super hydrated, glossy look with an even yet unique shade of 001 pink on each application.
As it claims, it is a color reviver balm. It is formulated in a way that it is meant to adapt the most suitable color at the time of application while balancing with the pH of the lips. Hence, the most loving aspect of the balm is that it puts a unique tint on the lips on every application that adapts and matches the skin's complexion and still goes really well for the look. It has never missed hitting the perfect shade for my lips.
The natural glow it exhibits gives the wearer a well put-together look, making it great for daily wear, especially to pair up with casuals. Deeper shades like 009 Coral, 008 Ultra Pink and 009 Raspberry applied along with the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer are decent choices for party wear, if you don't prefer highly pigmented lacquer sicks or if you are opting for a heavy eye makeup look.
In the same Lip Glow range, I have also tried the Lip Glow Liner which had an extreme thin stick vulnerable to breakeage with no significant visible benefits.
The new addition to their range of Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil remains to be tested for its much hype. Yet, I do hope and expect it to work out for me, given its richer composition similar to that of the Lip Glow balm, such as the extensive use of cherry oil.
